The dex is happy to welcome Prof. Dr. Tobias Morck as a new member!
Tobias Morck has been head of the Department of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Kassel since October 2020.
After studying civil engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (TH), he completed his doctorate in 2011 on nitrogen recovery from wastewater streams. After gaining practical experience as a project and department manager at Weber-Ingenieure GmbH (Pforzheim), he moved to the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as a group leader in September 2017. Tobias Morck has been extensively involved in the DWA's regulatory and wastewater treatment plant neighborhood work for several years.
The focus of his research is on the targeted further development of adapted technologies for the optimization of advanced wastewater treatment, on the linking of processes for the conversion to cycle-based wastewater management, and on process clarification through simulation-based description of relevant treatment processes.
